If you use the CompassionAndPeace.org web site you agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions ('Terms of Use').


Basic Terms

  1. You must be 13 years and older to use this site.
  2. You are responsible for any activity that occurs under your screen name and account.
  3. You are responsible for keeping your password secure. If you suspect any unauthorized use of your account, notify us immediately.
  4. You agree to provide true, accurate, current, and complete information about yourself as prompted by the Site's registration form (such information being the "Registration Data"), and you agree to maintain and promptly update the Registration Data to keep it true, accurate, current, and complete. If you provide any information that is untrue, inaccurate, not current, or incomplete, or we have any reasonable grounds to suspect that such information is untrue, inaccurate, not current, or incomplete, we may suspend or terminate your account and refuse to offer you any and all current or future use of the Services and the Site.
  5. You agree not to impersonate any person or entity, or otherwise misrepresent your affiliation with a person or entity.
  6. You acknowledge and agree that we may preserve user information and may also disclose user information if required to do so by law or if we believe in good faith that such preservation or disclosure is reasonably necessary to: (a) comply with legal process; (b) enforce these Terms and Conditions; (c) respond to claims that any Content violates the rights of third parties; or (d) protect the rights, property, or personal safety of CompassionAndPeace.org, its users, or the public.
  7. You must not abuse, harass, threaten, impersonate or intimidate other CompassionAndPeace.org users.
  8. You may not use the CompassionAndPeace.org service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose. International users agree to comply with all local laws regarding online conduct and acceptable content.
  9. You are solely responsible for your conduct and any data, text, information, screen names, graphics, photos, profiles, audio and video clips, links ('Content')that you submit, post, and display on the CompassionAndPeace.org service.
  10. CompassionAndPeace.org is intended for personal use, not a business solution. Professional or corporate uses of CompassionAndPeace.org are at your own risk.
  11. You must not modify, adapt or hack CompassionAndPeace.org or modify another website so as to falsely imply that it is associated with CompassionAndPeace.org.
  12. You must not create or submit unwanted email to any CompassionAndPeace.org members ('Spam').
  13. You must not transmit any worms or viruses or any code of a destructive nature.
  14. You must not, in the use of CompassionAndPeace.org, violate any laws in your jurisdiction (including but not limited to copyright laws).
  15. Any loss of, or damage to, data is not the responsibility of CompassionAndPeace.org. Use of this service is at your own risk.


Violation of any of these agreements will result in the termination of your CompassionAndPeace.org account. While CompassionAndPeace.org prohibits such conduct and content on its site, you understand and agree that CompassionAndPeace.org cannot be responsible for the Content posted on its web site and, despite our best efforts, may be exposed to such materials and that you use the CompassionAndPeace.org service at your own risk.



General Conditions

  • We reserve the right to modify or terminate the CompassionAndPeace.org service for any reason, without notice at any time.
  • We reserve the right to alter these Terms of Use at any time. If the alterations constitute a material change to the Terms of Use, we will notify you via an appropriate method. What is a 'material change' is at our discretion
  • We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason at any time.
  • CompassionAndPeace.org and it's administrators and moderators are not responsible for any actions of any users on or off the site.
  • In no event is CompassionAndPeace.org or any third party mentioned on the site liable for any damages whatsoever (including, without limitation, direct, incidental or consequential damages, lost profits, or damages resulting from lost data or business interruption) resulting from the use of or inability to use this site, the reliability of the Internet, or the material contained on the site, whether based on warranty, contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, operation of law, or any other legal theory, and whether or not CompassionAndPeace.org is advised of the possibility of such damages.

Submission of materials by Users

When you submit a question, article, forum post or other materials to CompassionAndPeace.org through the Web site, you are authorizing CompassionAndPeace.org to read it, edit it and publish it on the Web site, where it can be read all over the world and downloaded and copied.

Claims of Copyright Infringement

CompassionAndPeace.org respects the intellectual property rights of others, and requires that the people who use the Site and the Services do the same. It is our policy to respond promptly to claims of intellectual property misuse.

If you believe that your work has been copied and is accessible on the Site or the Services in a way that constitutes copyright infringement, you may notify us by providing our copyright agent with the following information in writing:

  2. Identification of the copyrighted work that you claim has been infringed;
  3. Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing and information reasonably sufficient to permit us to locate the material;

  5. A statement by you that you have a good faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law;
  6. A statement made under penalty of perjury that the above information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or are authorized to act on the copyright owner's behalf.

If we receive such a claim, we reserve the right to refuse or delete Content as described under these Terms and Conditions and to terminate a user's account.

After receiving a claim of infringement, we will process and investigate notices of alleged infringement and will take appropriate actions under the applicable intellectual property laws. Upon receipt of notices complying or substantially complying with these laws, we will act expeditiously to remove or disable access to any material claimed to be infringing or claimed to be the subject of infringing activity, and will act expeditiously to remove or disable access to any reference or link to material or activity that is claimed to be infringing. We will take reasonable steps promptly to notify the user that we have removed or disabled access to such material.


Upon receipt of a proper counter notification under the applicable intellectual property laws, we will promptly provide the person who provided the initial notification of claimed infringement with a copy of the counter notification and inform that person that we will replace the removed material or cease disabling access to it in 10 business days.

Unless our designated agent first receives notice from the person who submitted the initial notification that such person has filed an action seeking a court order to restrain the user from engaging in infringing activity relating to the material on the Site or the Services, we will replace the removed material and cease disabling access to it.

You may provide us with a counter notification by providing our copyright agent the following information in writing:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature;
  2. Identification of the material that has been removed or to which access has been disabled and the location at which the material appeared before it was removed or access to it was disabled;
  3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification of the material to be removed or disabled;
  4. Your name, address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of Federal District Court for the judicial district in which your address is located, or if your address is outside of Canada, for any judicial district in which we may be found and that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the initial notification of infringement.

We claim no intellectual property rights over any material you provide to the CompassionAndPeace.org service
